Preparing scholars for success at UC Merced
Meeting Purpose
The goal of these meetings is to guide scholars in mapping out their plans after graduating from UC Merced. Scholars meet with a Student Coordinator at least twice per semester.
- Student Coordinator Meeting: Focuses on exploring post-college goals and creating two actionable SMART goals. Students will be expected to complete the Career Integration Survey before their second meeting to consider post-college integration.
Meeting Timeline & Scheduling
At least two meetings must take place within the Fall 2026 semester.

Overarching Goal Statement: "I plan to get a job in Human Resources."
Today, I will schedule a meeting with the SSHA career specialist so that they can review and provide feedback on my resume. I will schedule this meeting for a day before meeting with the GSP Program Coordinator in October. Once scheduled, I will add it to my calendar.
I will attend the Human Resources panel that CCPA is hosting on Wednesday, September 8th at 2:00 PM. Before attending, I will prepare at least two questions to ask during the panel session.

Career Integration Survey
The Career Integration Survey should be completed prior to your 2nd meeting with your assigned Academic Success Navigator. You will answer multiple choice questions and will be asked to complete short essay questions in the Qualtrics Survey. Please answer all sections of the survey to the best of your ability to give us the best insight.
