Bright Success Center Mission

The mission of the Calvin E. Bright Success Center is to provide learning support, transition programs, and individualized interventions which empower UC Merced students to be successful in their academic and personal development.

Guardian Scholars Program Purpose

The Guardian Scholars Program is housed within the Bright Success Center. Our program helps the BSC achieve their mission by providing a sustainable network of academic and personal support services at UC Merced that promote degree attainment.

Bright Beginnings

Since its founding in 1998 at CSU Fullerton, the Guardian Scholars Program has grown to serve across mutliple universities in the state of California.

Hundreds of scholars have benefited from our resources, our commitment, and our dedication for fostering educational attainment.

The Calvin E. Bright Success Center was established in 2011 thanks to the Modesto-based Bright family.
