GUARDIAN SCHOLARS PROGRAM LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Knowledge of University Resources
• Incoming Guardian Scholars will be able to identify at least one university resource available to assist them in achieving their academic, professional, and/or personal goals at the end of their first semester at UC Merced.
• Continuing Guardian Scholars will be able to demonstrate how one university resource on campus is able to assist them in achieving their academic, professional, and/or personal goals at the end of each academic year.
Academic Growth and Development
• First Year Guardian Scholars will be able to describe their educational goals at the end of their first academic year at UC Merced.
• Second year and first year transfer Guardian Scholars will be able to create at least one educational SMART goal each semester by mid-semester.
• Third, fourth and continuing transfer Guardian Scholars will be able to demonstrate progress in their educational goal each year by the end of the academic year.
Personal Growth and Development
• First Year Guardian Scholars will be able to articulate their personal and professional goals at the end of their first year at UC Merced.
• Second year and first year transfer Guardian Scholars will be able to construct at least one personal and one professional SMART goal each semester by mid-semester.
