The UC Merced Basic Needs Center provides a range of services aimed at supporting student well-being and success through prevention, intervention, and emergency relief. Connect to critical support systems including food assistance, CalFresh outreach, financial wellness, and career attire.
Key Programs: Bobcat Pantry, Professional Closet, and CalFresh Assistance.

Are you feeling financial anxiety or stress? Build a personalized financial action plan to help you succeed now and in the future. Schedule a one-on-one chat with Charah Coleman, UC Merced's Financial Wellness Coordinator, to explore budgeting, literacy, and planning resources.
Individualized support for student financial planning and wellness.
USDA Food Distribution
Open to all students, staff, and community members in need of food assistance. Provided via the Emergency Food Assistance Program and administered locally by the Merced County Food Bank.
Location: Merced Community College (Parking Lot 2) - Off G St.

Pop-Up People's Pantry *TBA
Free food distribution hosted at the 18th St. People's Garden. Accepts monetary and food donations. Please wear a face covering and practice social distancing when visiting.

People's Fridge
Merced's first community fridge—free and open to all with no ID required. Anyone can take free produce, and anyone can leave fresh produce donations.
- Drop whole fruit and vegetables in the Donation Drop-Off Station in the blue shed.
- Please wear gloves and a mask when visiting and practice social distancing.
