The purpose behind the Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week events are to bring awareness around the issues and experiences of homelessness, provide ways to give back to the Homeless community (donations/service), and provide resources and information on how we can better support the Homeless community at and around UC Merced. This year the Guardian Scholars Program hosted a series of events that consisted of spreading awareness on how to donate and give back to the community, trivia on hunger and homelessness, a panel of community resources, and a film and discussion around the importance of the exposure and knowledge.
