Guardian Scholars can register for classes before the general student population as long as all semester requirements are completed. This typically gives scholars a week head-start, providing maximum flexibility for highly impacted majors such as Psychology, Biological Sciences, Political Science, and Business Management & Economics.

Incoming on-campus scholars each receive a move-in package graciously donated and put together by the University Friends Circle (UFC).

These move-in packages typically include essential dorm items such as a blanket, sheets, a pillow, towels, and washcloths.

All Guardian Scholars receive priority housing, provided the application is submitted on time.

The program works closely with Housing to ensure scholars have a place to stay during gap periods such as Winter Break and Summer.

Scholars facing unexpected financial hardship can apply for limited emergency assistance funds for situations like rent coverage.

Eligibility requires exhausting all other financial means and meeting with the Program Coordinator to develop a long-term plan.

To help you celebrate your achievements without financial stress, all graduating scholars are eligible to receive a GSP graduation stole along with a Cap and Gown.
