4. How To Learn More About The Position
- The Guardian Scholars Program will be hosting multiple events to give scholars a glimpse into the position. Stay tuned for posts about the position through Cat Courses and Instagram.
5. Training
- The students who are accepted for the position must attend mandatory training starting May 19 – May 29.
6. Qualifications
- Be in good academic standing at UC Merced at the end of each academic semester
- Moderate to advance knowledge of: Microsoft Office/Suite, Adobe, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Qualtrics, Google+, Box, E-vite, Canva, etc...
- Knowledge of issues facing foster and/or homeless youth in higher education
- Ability to work and mentor scholars of diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated excellent writing and public speaking skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with FERPA and HIPPA regulations
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Ability to learn new skills, adapt to changing demands on the job, think creatively, and carry conceptual ideas through implementation
- Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback
- Must be available for training on May 19th - May 29th.
